Guitar Practice — Privacy policy
Effective date: 8 October 2026
App: Guitar Practice (com.guitarpractice.app)
Developer: xTech.org

Your practice data
Guitar Practice stores favorites, recent songs, saved sections, notes, routines, setlists, practice history, downloaded chord-sheet copies, and display preferences on your device. This release does not use an app account or a developer-operated cloud sync service, and does not automatically upload your practice records to us.
YouTube playback and advertising
Playing a video loads the embedded YouTube player, which connects to Google/YouTube. In addition to information such as your IP address, device or browser information, identifiers, cookies or similar technology, and playback interactions, the YouTube Android Player may send the app's package name, app version, signing-certificate fingerprint, and a device-integrity attestation token to Google for app and device integrity checks. Google processes this information under its own policies; the app developer does not receive the attestation token. YouTube videos may display advertisements, including personalized or non-personalized advertisements depending on YouTube's settings. The developer does not control YouTube's ads. This release does not include a separate AdMob or other native advertising SDK. Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms.
Bundled catalog and network use
The release includes three sample song entries and generated chord-progression sheets without lyrics. Browsing this bundled catalog and using local practice tools do not require a catalog server. Videos require internet access. The app does not download or cache YouTube video or audio.
Backups, sharing, and diagnostics
You can export practice backups or diagnostic records using the system share sheet. Data is sent only to the destination you select; those destinations have their own privacy policies. Backups can include your personal notes. Importing a backup restores records locally. Optional diagnostic codes are off by default, stored locally, and not uploaded automatically. Android system backup may copy app data according to your device and Google account settings; manage it through Android settings.
Permissions
Internet access is used for YouTube playback and links. The app does not request microphone, camera, contacts, or precise-location permissions. File import and export use the operating system's file picker and share sheet.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you remove them in the app, clear app data in Android settings, or uninstall. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes the local installation's data; backups you exported or that Android stored must be deleted separately at their destination. Recent history and offline storage have in-app limits. We do not receive your local practice records and therefore cannot recover or delete them remotely.
Children and accounts
The app is intended for general guitar learners aged 13 and above and is not specifically directed at children under 13. No app registration is required. YouTube content and advertising are governed by Google's policies and the viewer's YouTube settings.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy if the app's handling of data changes, including if a separate advertising SDK is added. Future releases will update the in-app policy and Play disclosures as needed. For privacy questions, contact teamred808@gmail.com. If you send us email, we receive the address and information you choose to send and use it to respond to your request.
